Minister for Inner City and Zongo Development, Alhaji Boniface Sadique has expressed satisfaction about the pace of work so far on the Kyebi artificial turf which is one of the three initial of such projects by the Ministry across the nation.
Speaking at Kyebi in the Eastern region where work on the artificial turf is 75% complete, Alhaji Sadique who is also Member of Parliament for Madina in the Greater Accra region disclosed that working committees would be instituted to ensure constant management of the facilities once completed in all areas across the country.
The Astro /artificial turf initiative is one such by the Ministry to help modernize the Zongos and Inner Cities of the country and develop sports talents for the nation.
Other Zongo areas which have benefited from similar projects include Madina, a superb of Accra and Walewale in the Northern region.
