The Majority caucus in Ghana’s Parliament on Thursday, August 7, 2025, visited the homes of late Defense Minister Dr. Kofi E. Omana Boamah and Dr. Ibrahim Mutala Mohammed Minister of Environment Science Technology and Innovation who were killed, as a result of a helicopter crush to commiserate with the family.

Second Deputy Speaker Bernard Ahiafor led the delegation and was accompanied by Deputy Majority leader, George Rickette Hagan and Clerk to Parliament Ebenezer Djietror among others.

The team first stopped at the home of Dr Murtala Muhammed where the family received the legislators.

Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Alhassan Suhuyini who stood in for the family told the MPs the family will have to delay the burial of their son despite their Muslim rights.

The Former Finance Minister, Muhammed Adam said a Muslim prayer before the MPs left.

At the Former Defence Minister’s residence, the family received the entourage and exchange’s greeting behind closed doors.
