Former Deputy Speaker of Parliament and ex Member of Parliament for Dome/Kwabenya, Prof. Aaron Mike Ocquaye has been named Speaker of Parliament of the 7th Parliament.

He’s to be deputized by the Member of Parliament for Bekwai, Hon. Joe Osei Owusu as the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament.

The outgoing Minority Leader Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu becomes the new Majority Leader with intelligent and vivacious young Legislator, Hon. Adwoa Sarfo Kantanka MP for Dome/Kwabenya being the Deputy Majority Leader.

Member of Parliament for Sunyani East, Ameyaw Cheremeh being the Majority Whip and will be deputized by MP for Trobu, Moses Anim as 1st Deputy Majority Whip and MP for Kpandai, Hon. Matthew Nyindam as 2nd Deputy Majority whip.

Additionally, MP for Old Tafo, Hon. Akoto Osei has been penciled for the position of Minister of State at the Presidency, with MP for Obuasi West, Kweku Kwarteng as Deputy Finance Minister.
