The Minority in Parliament through its Member of Parliament for Savelugu, Abdul Aziz Fatahiya has called on the Bank of Ghana to reinstate all workers who were dismissed few days ago since the decision of the institution was illegal and unconstitutional.
According to her Ghana is a democratic nation which is governed by laws and therefore, bank of Ghana cannot just act based on the directives of the Chief of staff by revoking the appointment of all legally employed Ghanaians after December 7, 2024.
The minority further added that, they in Parliament would invite the management of the Bank of Ghana to appear before the House and explain the basis of their powers in terminating the appointments of its workers without considering the laws of Ghana but rather the orders of a political figure.
