The Majority Leader has taken a swipe at the Minority Leader Alexaner Kwamena Afenyo-Markin pointing out that he cannot use the floor of Parliament to intimidate the Executive arm of Government in doing their work.

According to him the constitution is very clear that anybody who feels his or her right has been violated should go to court or the human rights committee of the House.

This was after the Minority leader was trying to catch the eye of the First Deputy Speaker Benard Ahiafor on the continues detention of Abdul-Wahab Hannan, Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Food Buffer Stock Company.

Reacting to events, the First Deputy Speaker urged the Majority Leader to keep things cool because order 93 allows the Minority Leader to raise it on the floor but should be after urgent questions are taken on the floor.

He further pointed out that if the floor is open to the Minority Leader to raise his issue of public importance, there would be no room for others to comment.
