Buokrom Estate, a community in the Manhyia North constituency will soon have an ultra modern police station, the Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Collins Owusu- Amankwa has disclosed.
Mr. Owusu- Amankwa has donated GHs10, 000 towards the continuation of an abandoned police station started some 6 years ago by his predecessor Dr. Addo Kuffuor.
He noted with concern the deplorable condition of police station serving the area located between CS and Bukrom.
With current state of security challenges, the MP was of the view that the police need to be assisted to be adequately prepared to meet challenges that will confront residents, adding that even though government is making the efforts, individuals and corporate organizations have to support the effort of government to ensure safe society.
He also reminded residents of their role in assisting the security agencies with important information on criminals so that the police can do their work effectively.
