Hon. Seidu, Alidu Mahama succeeded the late Hon. Muhammed, Murtala Ibrahim who died on August 6, 2025 and was sworn in on October 21, 2025, following an internal processes by NDC to select a new candidate necessitated by Muhammed’s untimely death and NPP’s withdrawal from the race through a peaceful by-election.
