Minority Chief Whip, Alhaji Mubarak Muntaka said he will have no hesitation at all should there be a proposal to name the new block of Parliament serving as offices to the Clerk of Parliament and other senior members of the Parliamentary Service or even the Job 600 building after the late JH Mensah.
According to him the late JH Mensah who was the Minority leader contributed greatly towards building Parliamentary democracy and in ensuring that the minority view is considered at all times.
He indicated that the late JH Mensah during his era as Minority led the Minority to challenge issues especially through dialogue unlike today where equalisation has become the order.
AlhajiMuntaka who is the honourable Member of Parliament for Asawase said JH Mensah even criticized his own government on several decisions even though he was Senior Minister in the same administration.
He encourages his colleagues to emulate the good examples of JH Mensah and endeavour to have the courage in speaking the truth always.
”Let’s learn to be truthful, courageous irrespective of which side of the house we are” he stated.
