The flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, has in one of his usual appeals to party members, specifically singled-out the vociferous, Kennedy Agyapong.

The NPP has recently been in the news for the all the wrong reasons with various party members’ proffering varied opinions on the developments.

Their comments however rather seem to be portraying the deep cracks in the party.

Nana Addo has thus called on party supporters to cease the discussion of pertinent party matters on radio.

Addressing regional and constituency executives as well as parliamentary candidates in the Eastern Region to conclude his ‘Rise and Build’ tour, Nana Addo specifically asked the Assin North MP, Kennedy Agyapong, to stop his radio rants on critical party matters.

“Using the structures of the party to deal with the problems of the party is what we have to do. So I am asking everybody to respect that even senior members of the party like the redoubtable Kennedy Agyapong I am pleading with him; lets us stop the internal bickering about the NPP and let us get on doing what we need to do. I want to assure you that I am focused on the main goal which is to win the election of 2016.”

Kennedy Agyapong, popularly viewed as a plain-speaking character, often runs to the media to criticize or sometimes reveal essential party issues that often stirs controversy.

The owner of Accra-based Oman FM, who is also a financier of the party, sometimes chooses to do this on his radio station.
