Ahead of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearership race in December 2018, Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Samuel George Nartey has said there would not be division in the party.

According to the Ningo-Prampram lawmaker, all contenders to the flagbearership position for the party would come on board, because the voice and choice of the people would be the former President John Dramani Mahama for 2020.

So far eleven (11) aspirants with the NDC had registered their intention to contest the NDC flagbearership race. Some of them are the Second Deputy Speaker, Alban Bagbin, Professor Joshua Alabi, Sylvester Mensah among others.

Mr. Samuel George Nartey said in an interview over the weekend during election of executives in the Greater Accra Region that “take it from me the flagbearership election would not create any division in the NDC, because majority base of the NDC want John Mahama when the train would take off”.

He further added that every other person would have to come on board the train, “there would be no division, we are very clear in our minds we know who we want, we ask him to run he had listen to us, we are going to give him an endorsement on the 7th of December 2018 when we have our primaries”.

Anybody who says they love the NDC, anybody who truly says he wants to lead the NDC and has it at heart would come on board and work with John Mahama, the voice and choice of the people, he emphasised.
