Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration said the mid-year budget review presented by the Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson is an indication that President John Dramani Mahama’s reset agenda he promised Ghanaians is being delivered.

He said the country is on course to achieving full economic recovery, as we have demonstrated a remarkable resilience.

According to him, the economic performance for the first half of the year attests to the fact that the National Democratic Congress government has superior competence and capabilities and they care deeply about the people.

He said the NDC government’s care for the country and people is the reason the government is prioritizing and investing in real programs and projects that improve the lots of the people.

He accused the earstwhile Akufo Addo led government of running the country as a ponzi scheme in which “they only took the resources of this country to engage in create, loot and share in all kinds of nefarious, dubious expenditures that did not improve the welfare of the people” adding, it is the reason they (NDC) are resolved that the overwhelming majority the Ghanaian people have given them, they would use their numbers to better their lot”.

The foreign Minister eulogized the vision, direction and guidance of President John Dramani Mahama as he has demonstrated that all the years of is brought to bear to redeem this country and position the country on the path of prosperity.
“Ghana should not be a country that should go through restructuring; a country where senior citizens should not have access to their life savings; a country where the youth can’t have opportunities, can’t have jobs, unemployment would be above 18 percent; Ghana should not be a country where pensioner bondholders.

Today, we tell a new story, today we see hope; today we experience a different Ghana – a Ghana where the managers of the economy are putting the people first and demonstrating that when you care for the people, when you love the country, you can even with little resources, even though crises you can ensure that peoples lives and livelihoods are improved”, he stated.
