The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has formally notified the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, of the appointment of Hon. James Agalga as the new Majority Leader.
In a letter dated [Insert Date if available], the NDC’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, communicated the decision to the Speaker. The letter stated that the appointment of the Member of Parliament for Builsa North followed consultations between the party’s leadership and the Presidency.
“The appointment takes effect immediately,” Mr. Kwetey noted, adding that it is intended to provide the necessary leadership and coordination for the NDC Majority Caucus as it continues to discharge its constitutional and parliamentary responsibilities.
The NDC leadership expressed confidence that with the cooperation of the Speaker and all Members of Parliament, Hon. Agalga would provide the required leadership to advance the work of Parliament in the supreme interest of the Republic.
