Nii Armah Ashietey, NDC Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle in the Greater Accra Region, has toured three Basic Education Certificate Examination centres and presented 2,000 mathematical sets GHc 5,000 to the candidates.

The centres were Boundary Road for 525 candidates from 11 Junior High Schools(JHS), St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Centre, for 220 candidates from seven schools, Osudoku Centre for 482 candidates from 11 schools.

He explained that the donation was to encourage them to take the examination serious.

Nii Ashietey said this was the time for them to show to their parents, teachers, family and the nation that the resources invested in them were not wasted.

“Your teachers, parents and the nation have made significant investment in your training and it is now time for you to justify the resources invested in you,” he added.

Mrs Evelyn Akofa Yentumi, Supervisor at Osudoku Centre, expressed appreciation to the MP for the support.

Mrs Yentumi assured the MP that the candidates would continue to maintain good conduct shown since the examination begun.

Mr Fred Atobrah, Supervisor at Boundary Road Centre, thanked the MP for the support and love shown to the candidates.

At St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Centre, Mrs Eugenia Smart-Abbey, the Supervisor, expressed appreciation for the items.
