Some selected schools at Nkawkaw in the Kwahu West Municipality have benefited from assorted building materials donated by the Member of Parliament for the area, Eric Kwakye Darfour.

The items worth GHs1,500 included 50 bags of cement, 2 packets of roofing sheets, and nails. The items provided by the MP from his own coffers are meant for renovation works on the school blocks which have some defects.

Beneficiary communities include kwahu Nsaba, Kwadwo Nkansah, SDA Primary-Nkawkaw and Aprawahemu.

Speaking to Ghanamps.gov.gh, he said, it is important to revive the culture of maintenance in Ghanaians to avoid important edifice deteriorating, adding that if most school blocks had received the needed attentions in terms of renovation the current deficit of school blocks would not have existed.

Hon. Eric Kwakye, stated that he has decided to assist the basic schools in his constituency especially those that need some work to get them strong enough to have them carried out.
