Minister of Interior and Member of Parliament (MP) for Nandom, Ambrose Dery has indicated that “no true member” of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) will want to sabotage President Nana Akufo-Addo’s promise of creating a peaceful environment.
“A true NPP person should make it possible for the president to deliver his promise to Ghanaians, if you are a true NPP person you will not work against the president to make true his promise period”.
He made this comments in an interview when ghanamps.com want to know what his Ministry is doing to clampdown on pro-NPP vigilante groups, causing chaos around the country.
According to Mr. Dery the police are doing their job, they need no telling, the President has set the standard Ghanaians must feel safe.
And indicated that he has visited the Western and Central Regions in both places the statistics show that robbery and murder has reduced,“we need the cooperation of the media and security for the Presidents flagship programme”.
He further explained that it will be wrong for anyone to be under impression that nothing is being done to check the youth causing commotion, “as I talk to you there has been arrest at Golu, arrest of NPP party executives in Karagah in the case of Techiman it was a hoax”.
What is the talk about, we are not about getting ourselves in a league of mediocrity we have been in this system and we know what is happening, he said.
He further explained that the security of this country was put on the back burner, now the security of this Nation is working.
