New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Tema East constituency, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus- Glover he may be forced to explore different options other than dialogue to get persons he deems competent to steer the affairs of the party.

He said even if means leading a group of party youth to the residence of Prof Mike Ocquaye to compel him to run in the NPP chairmanship race, he will do it.

According to him, the NPP needs a “revolution” to be able to wrestle power from the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

“NPP is at a crossroads and we need a better leader to support Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia in 2016” he stressed.

Titus Glover was commenting on Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye’s decision to withdraw from the National Chairmanship race of the party after some ardent supporters picked nomination forms for him to contest without his consent.

The former Dome Kwabenya MP also a member of the NPP Council of Elders said he will continue to “advice, caution, broker peace and direct in any way to help resolve conflict and help steer the party in the right direction”

The Tema East MP noted that, the NPP needs an experienced and a committed person like Prof. Ocquaye to unite the party ahead of the 2016 general elections.

Titus Glover who claims to be having sleepless night about the future of the party urged him [Prof Ocquaye] to be selfless and rescind his decision in the interest of the NPP.

But Prof. Mike Ocquaye is adamant. On Ekosii Sen he said he does not need to be a chairman before he can contribute his quota to the development of the party.
