The Member of Parliament for Odododiodio, Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuije says he suspects sabotage in yesterday’s fire incident at the Mokola No2 market popularly known as Agbogbloshie market.

He said yesterday’s fire is one too many in recent market fires that has occurred in his constituency that led him to arrive at this conclusion.

Fire gutted the market on Tuesday evening destroying goods worth thousands of Ghana Cedis, but the extent of damage would have been huge thanks to the timely response of the Ghana National fire service.

Hon. VanderpuiJe wondered why in a little over a month 6 market fires should occur in his constituency especially only at times when the traders had closed and left for their various homes.

He was confident that the cause of the fire could not be traced to any electrical fault but arson.

Hon. VanderpuiJe urged the police to fish out and deal with those miscreants who are bent on engaging in such criminal activities.
