The public hearing of the Public Account Committee enters day two with the Ministry of Defense, Government machinery, Energy, Roads and Highways scheduled to appear before the Committee.
PAC is examining the Auditor Generals audited account for year ending December 31, 2025.
Ministry of Defense is first to appear before the Committee today and would be represented by the deputy minister.
Section 229 (4) says if a report is being taken and it’s under your Government the ranking member takes charge as chair and Samuel Atta Mills would chair the Committee with the 2024 report under review.
Chairperson Abena Osei Asare yielded the chair for transparency and fairness to avoid conflict of interest.
