Deputy Ranking member of the Public Account Committee (PAC), Mohammed Hardi Tuferu has said the committee is in the process of finalizing its report on monies retrieved since the seven Parliament of the Fourth Republic started its work.

He further pointed out that the report of the committee will be sent to the plenary as they wait for the last bit of three Ministries that are meeting before the committee, which is looking at the 2015 report of the Auditor General.

The MP for Nanton made known that, PAC is considering report on the Ministry of Health, Attorney General and Justice, Tourism and Creative Art and the Foreign Affairs.

According to the Deputy Ranking of PAC, plans to move into the regions to look at report on the various districts next week had to be postponed  to next month or early next year due to the fact that, estimates of  next year’s budget will come before the House and there is a lot of work to be done.

“As a committee our duty is to look complains and recommendation in the Auditor General’s report, as far as findings on those issues are concerned, we are not a fault finding committee but compliance is the thing”, he said.
