Parliament resumes today, Tuesday January 24  for the First Meeting of the Fourth Session of the Fifth Parliament of the Fourth Republic after going on recess for the Christmas break.

The fourth session, which ends in December this year, will be the last session of the current Parliament and it’s expected to that most of the MPs will have their attention divided between their parliamentary work and their campaign plan to seek re-election.

Some bills which are expected to be passed during this session include the Presidential Transition Bills and the Mental Health Bill among others.
