As Parliament starts its emergency sitting, Leader of Government Business, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, has indicated to Members of Parliament that from Wednesday the 26th of Friday to the 28th of September 2018, the House would have extended sitting to deal with the work load.

In presenting the Business Statement on the floor of the House, the Majority Leader noted that the House would approve appointment as Justices to fill vacancies on the Supreme Court bench.

Nominations of Ministers and their Deputies would be considered by the Appointment Committee to ensure that Ministers assume their offices to oversee the preparation of sector Ministries budget to feed into preparation of next year’s budget in November 2018.

Mr. Osei Kyei –Mensah-Bonsu urged MPs to lend their support to the transaction of urgent business put forward by Parliament.

Six loan agreements were presented to the House on Monday the 24th of September 2018 and report of the Appointment committee was also laid before the House.

Again the Right to Information Bill is at the consideration stage which would be considered before the emergency recall ends on Friday.
