President Nana Akufo-Addo would on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 deliver the State of the Nation address at 2:00pm a change in time from the original time of 8:30am.
This follows changes made by the Business Committee of the House which was announced on the floor of the House on Friday, March 6, 2021.
Article 67 of the 1992 constitution provides that, “the President shall at the beginning of each session of Parliament and before a dissolution of Parliament, deliver to Parliament a message of the State of the Nation”.
A statement from the Public Affairs Department of the House apologized to invited guests of the House for any inconveniences the change of time might have caused them.
The event would be held at the Dome on the precincts of Parliament, attendance to and coverage of the event is strictly by invitation or accreditation as protocols of COVID-19 would be strictly followed.
