Member of Parliament for Akrofuom in the Ashante Region, Hon. Kwabena Appiah Pinkrah has urged government to as a matter of urgency make public the various findings on fire outbreaks that President John Mahama has caused to be investigated in recent times.

According to him, the reports when made public will bring to bear the causes of those wild fires and help the public in the prevention of other fires outbreaks from occurring.

His call comes in the wake of the fire that ravaged the Central Medical Stores located in the Tema Industrial area destroying health equipment and drugs worth millions of Ghana Cedis.

The ravaging of the strategic facility which holds all the country’s medical supplies has been described by many as disastrous, especially when all drugs secured and brought in by the state and donations from partners with regard to Ebola fighting have been reduced to ashes.

Speaking on GTV’s Breakfast Show, Hon. Kwabena Appiah Pinkrah emphasized that the concealing of the findings of the investigations by the government was doing the country a great disservice as the recommendations in the report must be made known and be seen to be implemented.

He further warned against the burning of bushes in this harmattan season as that could spread into wild fires and in the process damage properties.
