Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu has urged MPs to stay in the chamber of Parliament when it gets to consideration stage of Bills before the House.
According to the Minority Leader the consideration stage is where legislation work takes place and urged that members stay around for that exercise is the issue of quorum would come up prominently at that stage.
There are some Bills at the consideration stage, Witness Protection Bill 2017 is at the consideration stage, Legal Aid Commission Bill 2017 has same status,
Majority Chief Whip, Kwasi Ameyaw Kyeremeh on his part noted that he does not know how to address that issue because it does not relate to the Business Statement he presented.
Mr. Ras Mubarak raise the issue of quorum of the floor of the House and added that there are young students who had visited the chamber within the week and they would not have good impression of the House.
Member of Parliament for Adaklu, Kwame Agbodza within the first and second meeting had raised issues of early start of proceedings, whiles his colleague from Lambussie Dery in this second meeting had started with quorum crusade.
