The chairperson of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Samia Yaba Nkrumah, is on a short visit to the USA beginning Saturday, April 21.
She is attending a three-day World Summit – The XII World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, themed Speak Up, Speak Out for Freedom and Rights and will feature moderated discussions with Nobel Peace Laureates that will be webcast around the world, providing a rare opportunity for audience members to observe and engage the world’s most notable figures in a discussion on global peace and human rights.
The CPP leader is the only Ghanaian politician and figure invited to the XII World Summit.
She has had the opportunity to meet and discuss matters with a number of world leaders including former US Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.
She has also had numerous discussions and meetings with former President of South Africa, Nobel Peace Laureate Frederick Williem De Klerk, HE Ambassador Thomas Stelzer, and Assistant to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon.
She will end her tour by hosting a discussion with members of the CPP North America.
