Sekyere Afram Plains Member of Parliament, Alex Adomako-Mensah has bemoaned the poor state of roads in the area.

He is worried about the ordeal residents in the area would be faced with moving from one community to the other now that the rainy season has started.

The MP noted that apart from Kumawu to Drobosu, the district capital which is accessible by road, all other communities are not accessible by cars except by motorbikes. He added that of all the five gates to the constituency it is only motorbikes that are used by the people for their day to day movement.

He however assured that Drobosu to Dawia road which was awarded on contract in 2010 but stalled would be completed by the end of the year since the contractor has returned to work and work is progressing well.

According to him, he has made the necessary contacts with government and the other appropriate agencies for more motorable roads to be constructed in the area and he is sure government will redeem its pledge to the constituency.
