The Member of Parliament for Sissala East constituency, Hon. Sulemana Alijajta Gbentie has considered to provide free lunch for candidates who have been presented for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Exams(BECE ) in the district.

Thus for the total number of 700 candidates who are sitting for the entire exams for the five days, will get the opportunity to be fed daily with good and sumptuous meals at the centre.

The MP in an interview with Ghanamps.gov.gh intimated that she has already released a sum of GHS 17,500 to cater for this move, invariably as part of the strategies to make them comfortable sitting for the exams.

She believed solving the problem of feeding for the children will partially help to ease the stress for the exams and also boost their morale extensively.

She claimed such responsibility has been on her desk for quiet sometime now, even when she was the DCE for the area.

She however underscored the need for this year’s performance to be an improvement on the previous years, urging candidates to come out with the best results ever in the district.
