Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has directed the Appointment Committee of Parliament to correct the names of the Ministers designate for Youth and Sports and the Oti Region.

He gave the directive when he presented a communications from the presidency addressed to the clerk of Parliament, a letter dated February 1, 2021 of an earlier transmitted letter to the House on the 21st of last month.

Secretary to the President Nana Asante Bediatuo noted that their attention has been drawn to the fact that names of the Minister designate for Youth and Sports was wrongly spelt, instead of  Mustapha Ussif, it read Mustapha Yusif.

The Oti Regional Minister designate is Joshua Makubu and not Joseph Makubu as earlier presented to the House in a letter addressed to the Speaker of the House.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 Speaker Bagbin had the opportunity to re-emphasis the need for Members of Parliament to respect the protocols in the chamber by ensuring that they ahead to the physical social distancing.

“Whether you are in leadership or not, it is very important that you observe this protocols”, he noted.
