The Member of Parliament for Tatale/Sanguli ,James Cecil Yanwube is craving for some support from government to improve the trend of development at Tatale .

According to him, the new district, Tatale/Sanguli carved out from the former Zabzugu/Tatale district in 2011 has seen no significant development especially, Tatale township which suffers most in this regard.

He said despite the population density and the commercial appeal of the area, Tatale lacks the required push from government to develop the area, as it had been neglected for a long period.

Highlighting this in a paper laid before parliament, Mr James Yanwube contended that Tatale which is even a border town, close to Togo has all its local service post such as CEPS, Immigration Service and the rest abandoned compared with the much developed Togolese counterpart service post.

He indicated that several requests to upgrade these service posts have fallen on deaf ears, and thereby has replicated in the other small towns that fall within the whole district.

He therefore reiterated that per the seeming neglect that has characterized the district all these years ever since its joint creation, it demands some attention to remedy the development deficits incurred over the period.
