The Member of Parliament for Tatale /Sanguli, Hon. James Cecil Yanwube has observed that most children in his constituency are deprived of education due to some limiting factors.

“A visit to the constituency in late March and May revealed that about two thousand children in some communities are completely deprived of opportunity of going to school due to factors such as lack of motorable roads, absence of schools or lack of teachers.

In a recent paper laid before parliament, the MP cited that this unfortunate situation has thus culminated into child trafficking issues in various communities of the district.

He therefore called for concerted efforts by all relevant stakeholders to stop the trend of this infamous activity in the area.

According to him, the absence of first and second cycle schools in most communities under the district has also contributed in regularizing child trafficking in the district.

He therefore called on government to come to the aid of the district and assist in the establishment of schools in the deprived communities so it could help salvage the unfortunate situation at hand.
