The newly elected President of the ECOWAS Female Parliamentarians Association (ECOFEPA) Madam Fanny Moussokora Chantel has called on her colleagues to close their ranks and ensure that they are united to achieve their purpose; emphasizing that as a united association, they will achieve a lot for themselves and will be unstoppable.
In her acceptance speech after her election on Saturday, December 6, 2025, she used the opportunity to thank her colleagues for accepting her candidature and making her their president for the next two years of the life span of the 6th Community Legislature.
ECOFEPA, she added us destined for greatness in unity of purpose with their values and intelligence.
“We will give a clear signal that West African parliamentarians are not push overs; we are one of the important forces, and as long as we remain united, nothing can stop us. These two years, we are going to make a lot of solid impact and strengthen the female leadership in the sub-region by ensuring there are training opportunities for our young ladies and women”, she emphasized.
She pledged that under her leadership they will no longer be disorganized; rather they will be a force to reckon with, and they will work to take their destiny into their own hands moving into the future.
“We will be the actors in our region and not sectors in the sub-region, we are taking ECOFEPA to the highest level”, she promised.
