The First Deputy Majority Chief Whip, Matthew Nyindam has condemned the use of the former seat of government, the Osu Christiansburg Castle as a training base for an alleged ‘militia’ group associated with the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He described the use of such a state facility for the training as “an abuse of incumbency” if indeed it is true.

He described as false claims that President Akufo Addo, the state for that matter is supervising and sponsoring activities of militia groups in the country.

The Kpandai lawmaker said these in an interview with www.ghanamps.com in response to an investigative piece by a Journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni which showed that a militia group, De- Eye has been recruiting and training its members at the Castle.
