Two days of heavy rainfall has destroyed some houses in the Akin Oda Constituency.
The communities included Aboabo and Gyadem. Few houses in these two areas have their roofings ripped off destroying properties of residents and rendering them homeless.
The only road leading to the Gyadem has also been affected including the bridge linking the community.
However, the timely intervention by the Member of Parliament for Akim Oda,Quaittoo Agyapong William led to the filling of potholes and the surroundings of the bridge.
Meanwhile, the MP is also making efforts to provide 12 packets of roofing sheets to affected households to help them get back their buildings in shape for habitation.
