Member of Parliament (MP) for Afram Plains South, Eric Osei Owusu has said he, together with her colleague from the North, Bettye Krosbi Mensah will fight for the right of the people from Afram Plains to get their portion of the national cake.

His comments come in the wake of relocation of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development and relocation of the ferry that goes through the Afram Plains route.

According to the Afram Plains South legislator, the people of Afram Plain do not deserve the treatment the current government is taking the people through.

And as representatives of the people, they will lead the crusade to ensure the people get what they deserve he said in an interview.

He revealed that an urgent question has been forward to the Transport Minister, by her colleague from Afram Plains North and when the Minister appears before the House they will ensure he provides the right answers.

The tension growing within the people of Afram Plains is not fair and was quick to urge the youth of Afram Plains not to take the law into their hands as their representatives are working hard to resolve the worrying development.

Again government should take a second look at some of the decision they take that affect Afram Plains if this should continue it will cause a lot of unrest in the area, we are law abiding citizens he said.
