The Minority in Parliament has filed petitions against three state institutions regarding an alleged sole-sourcing contract between GoldBOD and companies linked to Stan Dogbe, the Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Operations.
The caucus argues that the matter raises serious concerns about conflict of interest. They further noted that the government’s use of sole-sourcing contracts stands in contrast to the position it took when it was in opposition.
Anthony M. Mieh, the Member of Parliament for Odotobiri Constituency, led the petitioners. He called on the state bodies to investigate the matter thoroughly.
The MPs first presented their petition to the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), followed by a visit to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
The Minority is also expected to petition the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) regarding the alleged conflict of interest involving the government appointee.
At CHRAJ, the petition was received by Registrar Daniel Annan, who assured the group that their concerns would be addressed accordingly.
