He made this remark at this year’s Kundum Festival which is marked by thanking God for the abundance of food usually during harvest period between July and September every year.
The celebration was on the theme, “Dixcove Nkoso” meaning development of Dixcove.
In his good will message, the Ahanta West lawmaker implored the good people of Upper Dixcove Traditional Area to use the occasion to resolve to work harder for the rapid development of the community.
And added that development of the Municipality would be measured by how successfully it has been able to utilize its resources for the benefit of the people.
Mr. Ebenezer Kojo Kum craved the indulgence of the chiefs to remind those in responsible positions, public servants, religious people and the entire citizenry to make every sacrifice necessary to uphold the principles of selfless commitment that characterized the forebears of the land.
He also stressed on the need for the two traditional councils; that is Upper and Lower Dixcove to put their differences aside and come together as one council to celebrate the festival together, as one people for the sake of unity and respectable culture.
