The honorable Member of Parliament for the Ningo/ Prampram constituency, Samuel Nartey George will soon begin holding town Hall meetings to account to his people on how he has so far expended his share of the MPs Common Fund for the benefit of his constituents.

According to him, it is important to account for his stewardship as representative of his people on what he has so far done in Parliament and what he has received as a share of the common Fund.

Some of the laudable initiatives the MP is expected to account to his people on include; the Livelihood empowerment programme which has set-up some constituents in gainful business ventures, educational grants among others.

He acknowledged the important role chiefs play in the development of the area describing it as ‘’extremely pivotal and key’’ for development.

According to him he is channeling his educational scholarship drive through the chiefs who are major stakeholders to ensure that all clans benefit.

Sam George as he is popularly known disclosed this when he hosted constituents and some party bigwigs at his New Ningo campaign residence to mark the 2017 Homomwo festivities in thanksgiving to God for his mercies.

The 32 year old lawmaker also expressed the need for the maintenance of the cultural heritage of the Dangbe people because culture is the identity of the people.

The Homowo festival was celebrated in the two traditional areas of Prampram and Ningo on separate days.

The MP as part of the celebration visited several clan houses in Prampram and Ningo and thanked God for the ‘Gift of Life’ (Nnoluwa day).

Mr Samuel Nartey George who is a member of the Public Accounts and Communications Committees of Parliament was full of gratitude to the chiefs, elders and residents of Ningo and Prampram for the show of love and support.

As a comeback drive, the Ningo/prampram NDC has targeted to increase the votes of the party from 75% to 85% in2020 Presidential race and 67% to 75% for the Parliamentarian race respectively.
