Showing appreciation to people for their contributions or interventions in one’s life does not only open more doors to beneficiaries but it also creates opportunities for others.

This is exactly the understanding of some tertiary students from the Yilo Krobo Constituency in the Eastern Region as they decided to visit their Member of Parliament, Albert Tetteh Nyakotey in parliament to acknowledge his contributions to their education.

The students who are privileged to have benefited from a full scholarship for their tertiary education came with gratitude to the MP for his intervention in making it possible for them to pursue their academic dreams with the hope of becoming professionals in their various fields of study in order to offer meaningful contributions to the Ghanaian society and beyond.

The students noted that, but for the benevolence of Mr. Tetteh Nyakotey, their academic dreams would have been shattered leaving them with a bleak future.

The students numbering nine  are pursuing various fields of study in various universities and other tertiary institutions across the country.

They commended the MP for his commitment to human resource development which they are beneficiaries of.

Meanwhile, the MP has announced his unwavering commitment to contributing to the progress of education in his Constituency and will continue to lend his support in different ways to see education succeed in the area.

He said developing the human resource of the Constituency to be able to take hold of the future remains a commitment he would want to keep; as such he would continue to support more brilliant but needy students to have a chance at higher education.

He said the MP’s scholarship program remains pivotal to pushing people out of the poverty line and assured that better days are ahead for the constituents going forward.

He encouraged the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and be impacted positively, adding that achieving that feat would be the best form of appreciation he expects from them to give value to the investment being extended to them.
