The Member of Parliament for the Wenchi Constituency, Hon. Alhaji Seidu Haruna, has cut sod for the construction of new admission wards at the Community Health Planning Services (CHPS) Compound at Amponsakrom, marking another milestone in efforts to improve healthcare delivery in the constituency.
The multi-purpose ward facility, which forms part of an expansion of the existing CHPS Compound, will comprise Male, Female and Children Admission Wards, complete with bathrooms and Water Closet (WC) toilet facilities. When completed, the project is expected to significantly enhance the operational capacity of the health facility and improve access to quality and efficient healthcare services for residents of Amponsakrom and surrounding communities.
The project underscores Hon. Alhaji Seidu Haruna’s unwavering commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and ensuring that every resident of the Wenchi Constituency has access to improved health services. It follows the successful completion of a similar admission ward facility at Buoku, with both projects collectively representing a major step toward upgrading healthcare facilities across the constituency.
The sod-cutting ceremony was attended by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Gloria Opoku Gyamfi, chiefs and elders of Amponsakrom, as well as Constituency Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Their presence highlighted a shared commitment to community development and improved social services.
Addressing a durbar of chiefs and residents during the ceremony, the MP reaffirmed his dedication to working collaboratively with stakeholders to promote a healthier, stronger, and more prosperous Wenchi Constituency.
