Hon. Kwabena Boateng succeeded the late Hon. John Ampotuah Kumah and was sworn in on May 17, 2024 following a by-election necessitated by Kumah's untimely death.

John Ampotuah Kumah, born on August 4, 1978, hailed from Ejisu Odaho in the Ashanti Region. In the 2020 elections, he secured a resounding victory, winning with 69,897 votes, which accounted for 85.53% of the total votes cast. Below are the details of the formal MP.
