He further added that there is quite a lot to be done since there is more room to engage more research assistants.
Again, since their recruitment at the later part of the third meeting of the second session, they have not been paid yet, “many of us still have to stretch out by giving them something to support their transport and other things”.
“Parliament has taken the responsibility, we want them to be paid in due course, so that they have the ability to do their work, diligently we need to define what we want them to do for us and depends on what we want them to do”.
Mr. Kwaku Agbodza noted that as time goes on it would help lawmakers know if the existence of research assistants is enhancing their work but noted it was too early to give judgment.
In a related development, he noted in an interview that his colleagues needs to do a bit more to turn up early, so that business can start on time, “we are not there yet but there has been some improvement”.
He commended the Speaker Professor Mike Oquaye for being on time always, “we started Friday’s sitting at ten past twenty-five minutes.
